This is a tribute to the godfather of electronica Gary Numan. Gary Numan first hit our airwaves in 1977 but it wasn't till 1979s million seller Are friends Electric that he became a household name. Constantly ridiculed for his music Numan continued to release hit after hit much to the annoyance of the critics. Rock stars and pop stars of today have cited Numan as MAJOR INFLUENCE in their careers. Acts such as Marilyn Manson, Blur, Moby, and Fear Factory have all covered Numan material. The Sugar-babes recently had a number one hit called Freak Like Me... which is basically a cover of Are Friends Electric, Armand Van Helden had a hit with Cars...Numan's most famous song, which has been a hit in every decade since its release in 1979. Numan last 3 singles have been top 30 entries with his 2004 hit crazier reaching number 13. Gary Numan is still producing material that is still innovative and exciting.
